I don't have Xbox Live (which you would usually use), so I decided to update it by downloading the update from and putting it on a CD, and then putting that CD in my Xbox 360.I followed the instructions, so I didn't know why I got an "unreadable disc" error.
So far, we have Android 2.3.3, 2.3.4, 2.3.5 and 2.3.6 Gingerbread official firmware for Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100.It won't work without an official HD, cause that partition is getting the software update. the firmware update page says 9/17/2015, but the actual data that's downloaded is from 3/2/2016, which is in line with the (currently) latest build, 2.0.17502.0 which was released on 3/29/2016.Always check hashes (they are listed for a reason on ps3devwiki)!Do I need to install the backwards compatibility update separately from the newest firmware? the firmware update page says 9/17/2015, but the actual data that's downloaded is from 3/2/2016, which is in line with the (currently) latest build, 2.0.17502.0 which was released on 3/29/2016.I seem to recall them being separate, but if I can just install the latest firmware and have have everything work, that would be nice. Sorry for going on and on, but I feel like someone in the future might be doing his or her own research into this, and just might stumble onto this archive. For the record, I don't know which firmware she is currently running, but it can't be super old since it's got the current Windows 8-ish interface. And always remove media from the console (BDdrive, memorycards etc) to prevent it from updating THAT firmware PUP instead of the intended one on us B stick. Can’t wait for official Samsung Galaxy S II firmware release from Samsung KIES?Stuff you'll need: Xbox 360 Computer USB thumb drive (recommended) OR writable CD and CD writer Zip file extractor, I use [77-Zip] First of all, you'll need the update file. displaylang=en&Family ID=d7b1a7d8-846b-4ff4-8810-25356ec2c2aa DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THAT PAGE!
